Sustainable Development Goals
Natural Resources and approved by the Ministry of Culture and Higher Education as one of the subsets of the University of Guilan, with 120 students admitted in three fields of study: Natural Resources, Agrarian Affairs and Affairs Associate Livestock and 7 faculty members began work.
In 1992, with the changes that were made to the curriculum by the High Council for Planning of the Ministry, three of these were renamed forestry technology, plant production technology and livestock technology respectively. At the beginning of the activity, this faculty has two separate buildings for renting and donating for educational and administrative affairs. After ten years, following the implementation of construction projects, this faculty moved from 1375 to the current location in a land area of 13.5 hectares in the city of Monastir Sara. Existing physical space includes 5300 square meters of educational and administrative buildings and 2500 square meters of building (totaling 7800 square meters).
In 1366, the first continuous undergraduate degree in forestry and in 1997 became the first bachelor of bachelor degree in animal husbandry engineering. In 1999, the Forestry Engineering School from the Faculty of Agriculture and Fisheries Engineering from Anzali Campus was transferred to this faculty.
Faculty of Natural Resources, in 1996, at the undergraduate degree in Fisheries, in 2005 at the Environmental Science Bachelor in 1387 and at the undergraduate degree in the field of grassland and watershed, he accepted the student. Master's degree in forestry in 1997, MSc in Fisheries, Master of Environmental Science in 1385, was established in 2013. Ph.D. in Forestry in 1388 and Ph.D. in Fisheries in 2014, and the PhD in Forestry at the University of the U.S. Campus, in 2013, accepted the student.
Currently, there are four following training groups:
Forestry Department: Acceptance of forestry engineering student in undergraduate studies - MSc - Ph.D.
Fisheries Department: Acceptance of Fisheries Engineering Student in Bachelor - Master / Ph.D.
Environmental Department: Admission of Environmental Engineering Student in Master Degree
Pasture and Hydrometeorology Department: Adoption of Pasture and Watershed Engineering Student at undergraduate level.
Abilities:
This faculty has the ability to root, identify and solve problems related to issues of natural resources, forestry, fisheries and aquaculture, environment and pastures, and watershed management at the national, regional and international levels.
Capacities:
This faculty has a great potential for educating international students. Other collaborative studies with other countries in the field of natural resources and environmental protection can be taken from other faculties
