Environmental Management Research Group

The Environmental Management Research Group responds to the National Programmes for Science, Technology and Innovation in Environment, Biodiversity and Habitat and other programmes related to the Agricultural, Biological and Energy and Mining Research area. It follows its principles and guidelines in recognition of sustainable development, biological diversity and national cultural, the holistic nature of environmental phenomena and problems, in which physical, ecological, social and cultural considerations are involved, and therefore, the environmental issues and problems that affect them.

Its mission is to develop research processes in environmental management, articulated with institutional, regional, national and international policies, needs and dynamics, thus contributing to the establishment of strategies, guidelines, methodologies and projects that contribute to local, regional and national sustainable development.
