Celebrating 5 Years of EUniWell – An Alliance for Well-Being in Europe

The European University for Well-Being (EUniWell) marks five years of advancing well-being through education, research and innovation. Founded in 2020 under the ERASMUS+ European Universities Initiative, the alliance unites 11 universities from the UK, Germany, Italy, France, Sweden, Spain, Hungary and Ukraine, supported by over 60 partners across society. IAU members are Linnaeus University, Semmelweis University and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
With a mission to promote human, societal and environmental well-being, EUniWell responds to Europe’s call for a more holistic future, one that goes beyond economic growth to focus on quality of life. In 2023, the alliance launched its second phase with renewed funding and unveiled EUniWell 2030: Strategy Framework, outlining its roadmap for long-term impact.
Grounded in shared values, democracy, inclusion, diversity and co-creation, EUniWell empowers students and communities, promotes cross-border learning, and connects science to policy for real societal change. The IAU celebrates the fifth anniversary of EUniWell as it continues to shape a healthier, more sustainable and more united Europe - together for well-being.
