INRS Sustainable Development Action Plan 2022

The INRS adopted a sustainable development action plan ( July 7, 2022 )

Making the world a better place is at the heart of the economic, cultural and social mission of the National Institute for Scientific Research (INRS), even if the issues underlying sustainable development (SD) are complex. Climate and demographic change, sustainable energy sources, safeguarding ecosystems and the living things that inhabit them, and social equity are all topics addressed by research teams at INRS. It is therefore to enable all members of the INRS community to equip themselves with training and responsible research tools, while equipping them to improve operational activities, that an Institutional Action Plan in Sustainable Development was set recently adopted. Over the next few months, this action plan will materialize in several ways. The Scientific Direction will, among other things, provide support to faculty and research staff in order to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into grant applications and teaching. A first official assessment of our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions will also be published during the coming year.
