OECD launches new Hub on the Sustainable Development Goals

Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) just launched our new OECD Hub on the Sustainable Development Goals, accessible HERE.

Since 2015, OECD countries have made significant strides toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), achieving or nearing 34% of 114 measurable targets. Notable progress has been made in No Poverty (SDG 1), Clean Energy (SDG 7), and Climate Action (SDG 13), with over half of their targets on track. As the 2030 deadline approaches, tracking progress, setting priorities, and optimising resource allocation are crucial. Building on the OECD’s work on measuring Member countries’ distance to achieving the SDG targets, this new Hub offers a clear overview of national strengths and weaknesses, helping countries navigate the complexities of the SDGs, set priorities, and allocate resources effectively to improve data to better measure their distance to the SDGs targets.

The OECD’s methodology goes beyond a one-time snapshot, enabling countries to monitor progress over time by analyzing past trends. Its data inventory allows to measure how far countries are from achieving SDG targets, and also highlights critical data gaps, fostering international knowledge-sharing and setting future priorities in data collection.
