Turning the Tide – Call for Panels and Workshops
Co-hosted by the University of Aruba, Sophia University, the University of Prince Edward Island, and the University of Waterloo, Turning the Tide: Climate change, biodiversity and well-being, for dushi bida – good life – on islands will take place from 11–15 October 2027 in Aruba. This call invites researchers, practitioners, artists, educators, and communities to submit panel and workshop proposals by 15 September 2026 through the online form. The conference explores climate change, biodiversity, ecosystem health, and well-being in island societies, with themes including climate adaptation, food sovereignty, ocean health, climate justice, diverse knowledges, governance, migration, education, and community resilience. A broader call for papers and artistic contributions will launch on 1 October 2026.
