15th UN Crime Congress
On 26 September to 1 October*, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime organises the world’s largest global forum on crime prevention and criminal justice. The crime congress is held every five years since 1955, this years congress marks its 15th edition. It brings together governments, experts, civil society, and academia to share experiences, shape policies, and strengthen international cooperation. The congress focuses on addressing global challenges such as organized crime, corruption, and violence, while promoting the rule of law and its link to sustainable development. It serves as a key platform for advancing collective solutions and influencing global justice and security agendas. This year's theme is “Accelerating crime prevention, criminal justice and the rule of law: protecting people and planet and achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the digital age”.
*Note: The Congress has been moved from 25 to 30 April to 26 September-1 October.
