About
Jazeera University was established on February, 2010 in Mogadishu, Somalia by an Eclectic group of Somali scholars. Jazeera University is also a member of the Arab Association Universities (AArU), African Association Universities (AAU) and International Union of Universities (IUU), besides other local Associations. Jazeera University always tries of find a way that can lead to make developing learning outcomes through using ways and strategies that are based on quality control and efficient ways of teaching in all its faculties, sections and administrative paths, So that JU was the first of it’s kind in Somali. The whole aim is to become leading university not only in Somali but whole east Africa. In this way Jazeera University chose information technology as a tool in all its educational methods to success that aim.
Sustainability at Jazeera University
Jazeera University has recently publicized their Land Restoration and Re-Greening Project. The objectives of the project include: mitigating the risk of deforestation and desertification in Somalia, propagating endangered plant species in Somalia, and enhancing biodiversity through sustainable vegetation in Somalia.
