The Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction is a major university in Turkmenistan founded in 2012. It is the leading educational institution in Turkmenistan for engineering and energy. The university's mission is the preparation of highly skilled experts on the basis of world experience and knowledge of the developed countries and providing with engineering specialists of national economy, such as construction, Industry, energy branches and the enterprises of chemical industry.
Sustainable Development & Sustainability
The Institute has served in various technical and advisory roles in various sustainable projects coordinated by organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme. One such example is the "Sustainable Cities in Turkmenistan: Integrated Green Urban Development in Ashgabat and Avaza” project spearheaded by the UNDP with the objective of developing national “green” standards for hotels, which will allow the introduction of efficient use of energy, water and proper waste management in the country’s hotels.
