8th Sustainable Campus Conference (CCS 2026)

On October 22 and 23, 2026, the School of Tourism and Maritime Technology (ESTM), Peniche – Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, hosts the 8th Sustainable Campus Conference (CCS 2026), an initiative promoted by the Sustainable Campus Network Portugal. The conference will be held at Campus 4 of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, in the city of Peniche. CCS 2026 brings together the academic community and sustainability professionals to explore current developments, research findings, and innovative practices linked to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Portuguese Higher Education Institutions.

Centered on the theme “What Future for Sustainable Campuses?”, the event aims to encourage dialogue, cooperation, and knowledge sharing among students, researchers, academics, and experts. By creating opportunities for interdisciplinary exchange, the conference seeks to inspire forward-looking and practical approaches that contribute to building more sustainable campuses and communities.

Through the promotion of sustainable practices, innovation, and collaborative action, CCS 2026 reinforces the role of Higher Education Institutions in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and fostering a more resilient and inclusive future.
