Working Better Together: Shifting Power, Transforming Systems is an initiative led by the Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE) as part of its Beyond Aid: What’s Next for EiE? programme, which examines how power, resources, and decision-making are distributed within the Education in Emergencies (EiE) sector. A key component of the initiative was the Nairobi Forum, held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 13–15 October 2026, co-convened by INEE, the Ministry of Education Kenya, State Department of Basic Education, and the University of Nairobi. The forum brought together representatives from multiple countries to discuss localization, shared leadership, accountability, and practical approaches to shifting power within education systems affected by crisis and displacement.
