Discover the 'For Good' platform by the National Union of Students

The Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS-UK) created the For Good platform, an initiative for “highly motivated students with forward thinking organisations to collaborate on research, dissertations, placements and practical projects to progress environmental, social and economic sustainability”. The goal is to empower students to innovate and progress all aspects of sustainability, students being defined as students in tertiary education (universities and colleges) and those that have graduated through age 35. The For Good offerings give students opportunities to gain experience and knowledge of working in a variety of sectors, gaining important employability skills and developing competencies as responsible citizens. Targeted research, projects and placements ensure organisations benefit from capacity building, bright ideas and creative solutions for progressing sustainability challenges. Participants of the programme highly commends the platform with one student stating, “it was truly wonderful to be able to support the Fairtrade Foundation and engage with my interests in the field, and my passion for this will hopefully shine through to employers into the future!”
