Sustainability assessments at Concordia University
The first sustainability assessment was conducted at Concordia University in 2003 and has since grown extensively.
Since 2012, the university used STARS to rate sustainable efforts in categories of Academics, Engagement, Operations, Planning & Administration, and Innovation.
Since 2017, they've applied for VÉLOSYMPATHIQUE certification to assess their cyclability.
In 2020, they applied for the first time to the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings which ranks universities in their progress towards the SDGs.
Also in 2020, they launched their 4th LEED-certified building on campus.
