Future of Our Planet Conference - FOP2026
McMaster University welcomes participants to the international conference Future of Our Planet 2026 (FOP2026), which will take place from 21–24 November 2026 at McMaster Innovation Park in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Organised by Planetary Health at McMaster University, the conference will bring together researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, innovators, students, and community organisations to explore solutions to some of the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges. The conference has three core themes: Clean Energy & Energy Transitions, Ecosystem Health & Environmental Resilience, and Human Wellbeing in a Changing Environment.
Grounded in the Planetary Health framework, FOP2026 aims to strengthen collaboration across disciplines and sectors to advance action on climate change, ecosystem resilience, human wellbeing, sustainable development, and innovation. Through this, FOP2026 contributes to progress across multiple Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 15 (Life on Land), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), helping to advance a more sustainable and resilient future.
