Smart Land UTPL

Smart Land is an initiative of the UTPL launched in 2014 by extending the concept of "smart cities" and referring to a territory in which "smart" sustainable development is promoted. To achieve this, the initiative proposes the intensive use of Information and Communication Technologies that contribute to the optimal use of large volumes of information to improve land management and the management of natural and cultural resources. The aim is to contribute to the improvement of citizens' quality of life and environmental management. The initiative seeks to be a support tool for decision making, generate social innovations and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals through synergic collaboration with different social actors: regional governments, civil society, public and private companies, among others.
