Responsible Futures Workshop

24 March 2026
Online

Learn how your university can engage students and promote sustainable development across the whole institution in the Responsible Futures International Programme workshop!

As sustainability challenges intensify in 2026, higher education institutions are called to lead transformative change across teaching, research, and campus life. While commitment to the SDGs is widespread, meaningful integration requires strategic, whole-institution approaches and active student partnership. This online workshop, featuring peer exchange and case studies from the Responsible Futures International programme which is co-implemented by SOS-UK and the IAU, will showcase practical strategies to embed sustainability across curricula and institutional culture. Join the workshop to explore how your institution can empower students and drive impactful, lasting change.

The workshop is offered on two occasions to allow participants from different time zones:

  • Tuesday 24 March, where we will hear from Université de La Manouba, Tunisia and Mohawk College, Canada
  • Wednesday 25 March, Murdoch University, Australia and Mykolas Romeris, Lithuania, will share insights from their work with Responsible Futures.

The workshops will be chaired by IAU Senior Programme Officer for HESD Isabel Toman and SOS UK Senior Programme Manager Sonya Peres
