SWPS is a private non-profit university founded in 1996 by three psychology professors as the Warsaw School of Social Psychology (Szkoła Wyższa Psychologii Społecznej, SWPS). It was granted university status in 2015.
Now, the university consists of over 500 faculty of researchers and experienced academics and 16,000 students across 6 campuses in major Polish cities (Warsaw, Wrocław, Sopot, Poznań, Katowice and Kraków).
