About University of Ibadan
The University of Ibadan (UI) was established in 1948, and is committed to expanding the frontiers of knowledge through excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and community service. The university serves approximately 41,700 students and employs over 5,300 staff. UI offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across 17 faculties, covering disciplines including medicine, engineering, agriculture, law, arts, social sciences, education, and public health. Renowned for its strengths in health sciences, agriculture, humanities, and social sciences, the university features extensive research facilities, libraries, teaching hospitals, residential halls, and strong international collaborations that support global academic and research excellence.
