Global Environment Solution Challenge and 2023 International Student Conference on Environment and Sustainability (ISCES)

The International Student Conference on Environment and Sustainability (ISCES) is an annual celebration on World Environment Day, and this year’s ISCES Global Environment Solution Challenge (GESC) will respond to the theme #BeatPlasticPollution, and call for students to submit their solutions for plastic pollution, from four different topics, namely, human health, circular economy, climate change, and zero-waste city.

ISCES has been successfully organized by the United Nations Environment Program and Tongji University since 2011. Over 3,000 international students from more than 50 countries gathered at Tongji University on World Environment Day, which has become a global event for future leaders and youth to discuss environmental issues, providing an interdisciplinary and multinational learning opportunity.
