ACD-UN, WFUNA, and Siam University Host Action Camp on SDG 11
From 4–6 June 2025, the Asia Cooperation Dialogue - University Network (ACD-UN), World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), and Siam University hosted an Action Camp on Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11) in Bangkok, Thailand. Bringing together 60 students from 12 countries, the camp aimed to foster global citizenship and drive innovative solutions toward sustainable urban development.
Divided into 8 teams and guided by mentors, students developed action plan blueprints using the Living Lab approach. Supported by Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participants visited key institutions including TICA, UNESCAP, and urban regeneration sites, integrating their learning into project themes.
This 4th ACD student leadership camp served as a pre-youth event ahead of the ACD Summit’s 23rd anniversary, celebrating regional collaboration and youth leadership. For many participants, it was a life-changing first-time experience, building shared visions for a more sustainable and inclusive future.
