Earth Month at York University

In honor of Earth Day 2026, York University (York U) is hosting an Earth month at their campus to acknowledge their community of changemakers, and to gather students and staff in activities to promote sustainability. 

Among the actions during Earth month is a community tree planting event to restore eco systems and promote a greener campus. Another action hosted by YorkU is a campus clean-up in which students and staff are invited to reduce waste and land pollution on campus grounds. Lastly, throughout the month, the university has produced a series of interdisciplinary micro-lectures on a range of sustainability-related topics.
