Tour de France of Eco-Friendly Gestures: Students Mobilize
From 24 November to 5 December 2014, 100,000 students are expected to participate in the Tour de France of eco-friendly gestures. This is intended to convey a good practice in sustainable development on a daily basis in order to help young people reduce their carbon footprint. This is an annual meeting place for students to learn about the simple things they can do in everyday life to help lower overall carbon production. The event was created in 2010 and has gained more and more importance every year.
For this fifth edition, 67 activity days are planned throughout France. the Program consists of workshops to be held every day at lunch in the 62 canteens mobilized for the event. Taught by two to four trainers, workshops zill address evnrionmental responsilbilty under three themes: food, sorting, and recycling. This year, 25 cities are participating.
