B-GREEN-ED Project

The B-GREEN-ED, or "Boosting the green future via university micro-credentials" project, has the objective of boosting the European green economy and climate neutrality through innovative higher education practices related to the implementation of micro-credentials designed in cooperation with European standards bodies that meet market needs and facilitate the provision of flexible, accessible, and inclusive education in relevant industry standards that support the transition to a green and digital economy.

Digital education practices will be analysed, and a methodology based on microlearning and various pedagogical models will be proposed as a precondition to better accommodate the wide range of needs of tertiary learners. Traditional educational degrees will be supplemented with new and shorter forms of reskill and upskill provision.

The project is funded by the Erasmus+ KA2 - Cooperation Partnerships programme. Is it led by the Burgas Free University, Bulgaria, and includes the following partners:

  • ASRO - National Standardisation Body, Romania
  • The Bulgarian Institute for Standardisation, Bulgaria
  • Mykolas Romeris University, Lithuania
  • Political University of Valencia, Spain
  • King Michael I University of Life Sciences, Romania

The project began in November 2022 and ended in October 2024.
