Call for Crowd4SDG projects on SDG13 an SDG5

Crowd4SDG is an EU-funded research project exploring how citizen science can track progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how grassroots innovation can help achieve such progress. UNITAR and partners just launched an open challenge for projects that tackle climate change and gender equality, using crowdsourcing as a way to gather information or stimulate actions taken by large numbers of ordinary citizens. Individuals or teams can propose projects at the scale of a community, a region, a country, or the entire world. UNITAR offers advanced coaching to selected applicants through an innovative programme that aims at creating prototypes to validate the feasibility of the solutions proposed and attract social investments. They also offer state-of-the-art AI and machine learning tools to power crowdsourcing activities. The call for participants is open until the of 30 September 2021, midnight CEST.
