Comprehensive Assessments of Country Circular Economy

The transition to a circular economy is one of the European Union's priority goals, as well as the implementation of sustainable development goals. However, an analysis of the scientific literature highlighted the problem of assessing circular economies. When assessing the circular economy, only its individual components are analysed, the research lacks complexity, therefore a methodology covering all components of the circular economy is needed. 

The scientific problem of the project is how to comprehensive assess the achieved of a country's circular economy, thus the aim is to develop a methodology for the comprehensive assessment and to apply it empirically on the example of EU countries. 

The project began in November 2022 and ended in October 2024.
