Green University Initiative at Koya University

On 16 May 2024, Koya University launched its Green University Initiative as part of the seventh pillar of its 2023–2027 Strategic Plan. The initiative aims to create a green, environmentally conscious campus through measures such as clean transportation, ponds, wastewater and well-water treatment, transitioning dormitory heating to cleaner energy, promoting sustainability research, establishing a green research park, encouraging energy-efficient buildings, and running awareness campaigns for students and staff. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to addressing environmental challenges, reducing pollution, and integrating sustainability into education and campus development.
