Sophia’s Project to Support Women Researchers in a Global Society focuses on improving the research environment for women in the Faculty of Science and Technology. The program supports women researchers through a global mentoring system, work-life balance seminars, recruitment of women researchers from outside Japan as mentors, regular peer exchange, support for international journal submissions and conference presentations, and efforts to create a research environment that accommodates childbirth, family care, and career continuity. The project links gender equality to academic careers, research participation, mentoring, and institutional support.
