ESD:SuperVision 4.0
ESD:SuperVision 4.0 is a project that examines the importance of the whole school approach (WSA)/ whole institution approach (WIA) to education for sustainable development (ESD). It provides recommendations for curriculum design and teacher training and promotes interdisciplinary learning. Three key factors to the project are identified as:
- Capacity building for teachers and educators
- School development as a whole institution approach
- Policymaking in the sense of a support system towards ESD in secondary schools to deliver ESD more effectively
As such, the project has three deliverables: a curriculum framework (IO1), a teacher training manual (IO2), and a policy guide (IO4).
University partners in the program include Vechta University (GER), Charles University (CZE), Daugavpils University (LVA), Vytautas Magnus University (LTU), and the University of Edinburgh (UK). Other partners include secondary schools, NGOs, research institutes, and public bodies (GER, ROU, ITL, LVA).
