Integrated Centre for Sustainable Construction Technologies

Box Hill Institute has begun construction of the Integrated Centre for Sustainable Construction Technologies (ICSCT) at its Lilydale Lakeside campus. The centre will provide apprenticeship and advanced training in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical trades with a strong focus on sustainability and future skills. Courses will cover areas such as Passive House design, prefabricated timber and cross-laminated timber (CLT), solar energy, renewable energy design, and water recycling systems. With adaptable learning spaces for both on- and off-site activities, the ICSCT aims to meet regional demand for skilled workers while advancing sustainable construction practices.
