The Observatory for Ecological and Citizen Transition - University Cote d'Azur

The University Cote d'Azur is home to the Observatory for Ecological and Citizen Transition Côte d'Azur, a science-society interface for ecological and citizen transition in the Alpes Maritimes region. OTECCA promotes collaborations between the scientific community and civil society to generate and share knowledge about ecological and citizen transition in the Alpes-Maritimes region.

OTECCA follows a participatory research approach that involves local stakeholders and scientists in a co-construction process of projects. To address various areas of ecological and citizen transition such as agriculture, food, culture, democracy, education, energy, environment, housing, health, solidarity, transportation, etc., multidisciplinarity is encouraged.

The aim of OTECCA is, on the one hand, to collect, produce and share data enabling the region to be monitored in terms of ecological transition and, on the other, to act as a "Science Workshop", incubating and supporting projects designed to increase the capacity for action of local players.
