Online Events in October 2023 – ESD and SDG 12

In October 2023, the Earth Charter organized three online events focused on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Sustainable Development Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. 

The first webinar, titled "Linking Sustainability and Quality Education: An Overview from Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) for 2030 Regional Meetings," featured speakers from UNESCO, the UNITWIN Network on Social Transformation, and the Earth Charter Center for ESD. They discussed the progress and plans for the UNESCO ESD 2030 framework.

The second event was a two-part workshop on "Higher Education and SDG 12," organized by the University for Peace, UN Academic Impact, and Earth Charter International. This workshop, offered in both English and Spanish, highlighted various university initiatives implementing SDG 12 on responsible consumption and production.

The overall aim of these online events was to share the Earth Charter's message, connect with different sustainability initiatives, and showcase practical examples of integrating sustainability into education at the higher education level.
