Sulitest ESD Initiative

The EXPANDIA project, led by the Sulitest in collaboration with academic and civil society partners, such as Université Paris-Saclay and Nantes Université, is a four-year initiative funded under the French France 2030 programme. Its purpose is to support and train higher education faculty to integrate sustainability across all disciplines through tailored learning pathways, digital tools, and pedagogical resources. Aiming to engage up to 6,000 educators, the project strengthens capacity for transformative teaching and promotes systemic change in higher education. 

By embedding sustainability competencies into curricula, EXPANDIA directly contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), while advancing broader goals related to climate action, innovation, and partnerships.
