About
"Eqrem Çabej" University of Gjirokastra (UOGJ) was established by decision of the Council of Ministers no. 414, on November 12, 1991, on the basis of the Higher Pedagogical Institute, which was opened in 1971. It is the most important educational, scientific and cultural institution of Southern region of Albania. Currently, UOGJ has three main units: The Faculty of Education and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and the Faculty of Economics.
