The European Students’ Union (ESU) is the umbrella organisation of 45 National Unions of Students (NUS) from 40 countries. Its primary mission is to advocate for students’ educational, social, economic, and cultural rights at the European level. ESU engages with key institutions such as the European Union, the Bologna Follow-Up Group, the Council of Europe, and UNESCO. Collectively, its member unions represent nearly 20 million students throughout Europe.
