The Center for Technical and Higher Education (CETYS University) is a private institution of educational excellence, born in 1961 in Baja California under the auspices of a group of visionary entrepreneurs committed to education.

Mission and Purpose

CETYS' purpose is to contribute to the development of individuals with the moral and intellectual capacity to participate in a relevant manner in the social, cultural and economic improvement of the country and the world by promoting, scientific preparation and development, character build and development and cultural heritage, literacy and understanding.

CETYS seeks to be the best institution in Latin America with our MBA focused on Entrepreneurship and in Engineering, with a focus on Innovation and Design. 

CETYS 2020 Strategic Plan

Inspired to actively contribute in the improvement of the country, and committed to continue the preparation of high level professionals, CETYS abides by a grand strategy and vision call Institutional Development Plan 2020 or CETYS 2020.
The plan defines the cause, purpose and mission driving the institution in the upcoming years, with 6 strategic goals that set forth the basis to face future challenges in education, including the themes of high quality, global competitiveness, learning communities and sustainability.

Sustainable Development

Today, from various areas and actors, the university has consolidated efforts that have only one purpose: to address the environmental crisis through innovation and sustainable actions.

CETYS was selected by the International Association of Universities (IAU) -Aiming Higher Initiative and the BBC in London as one of the 5 universities in Latin America for its impact on sustainable development. 

Some of the actions towards sustainability include the Zero Waste Program, Solar Power, Student Initiatives Recicali, RS-WC and Biogas del Hogar.
