2021 ASEF 'Liveable Cities for a Sustainable Future' Hackathon
The 23rd ASEFSU(Asia-Europe Foundation Summer University) was an interdisciplinary Hackathon on Liveable Cities for a Sustainable Future for Asian and European young professionals and students. Implemented as a virtual program, this project was designed to connect young hackers, designers, innovators, urban planners, and SDG experts to collaborate and develop urban solutions for challenges in three of the most populated countries in ASEM: Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. The role of the mentors included providing thematic expert guidance to the Hackathon Team Leaders and the participants.
The 3 ASEFSU Challenges were:
- Waste Management in Bangladesh
- Obesity among children in India
- Urban Mobility in Pakistan
