Applications now open for the United Nations Small Island Developing States Partnerships Awards

The United Nations Small Island Developing States Partnerships Awards are now accepting applications

The United Nations SIDS Partnerships Awards were established by UN Member States in 2021 to recognize outstanding multi-stakeholder partnerships that contribute to the sustainable development of Small Island Developing States (SIDS). The awards honour innovative, impactful, and long-lasting partnerships that demonstrate measurable results, inclusivity, accountability, and collaboration in addressing the unique challenges faced by SIDS. Presented annually during the Global Multi-Stakeholder SIDS Partnership Dialogue, the awards also showcase best practices, inspire new partnerships, and encourage greater commitment to sustainable development. By recognizing effective partnerships, the initiative supports the implementation of the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for SIDS (ABAS) and contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

Who can apply?
The UN SIDS invite ''SIDS governments, development partners, UN entities, regional organizations, civil society organizations, private-sector entities, academic institutions and other stakeholders supporting partnerships for sustainable development in SIDS'' to apply.
