INTERACT-Africa
INTERACT-Africa is an Intra-Africa Academic mobility project funded by the European Union and in collaboration with the African Union. The scheme is part of the larger Youth Mobility for Africa flagship initiative.
The project's thematic focus is on chemistry, biology, and information technology, with an emphasis on the conversion of organic waste to valuable bioproducts for sustainable and inclusive economies. Its objectives are to build capacities in green technologies, nurture skills among beneficiaries for future career advancement, promote networking in this field, and enhance project management.
It is jointly implemented by five African partner institutions, and one technical partner in the EU.

- Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania
- Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia
- Institut Facultaire Des Sciences Agronomiques de Yangambi, Democratic Republic of Congo
- Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic (EU technical partner)
The project will train up to 35 MSc and 10 PhD graduates, and offer development opportunities to 8 trainees and 7 staff members.
