Student-led textile waste-reduction at Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD)
Students at Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) have introduced a textile waste-reduction initiative across their campus. To promote and facilitate circulation of textiles and reduce waste, students have placed bins for textile waste across the ARUCAD campus. The fabrics collected will be repurposed for use in creative and design courses offered at the university.
This initiative is part of a larger scale project called From Waste to Aesthetics, where students, in collaboration with ARUCAD’s Sustainability Office, develop and promote a material-conscious practice across campus and contribute to a sustainable environment.
