Sustainability days at the University of Freiburg

This year like every year since 2017, the Sustainability days will take place at the University of Freiburg, during the summer semester. This week of events is filled with lectures, workshops, discussions, and actions, which stimulate discussion about sustainability. With this initiative, the University aims at raising awareness about ecological and social issues, but also at encouraging the University members to work together to develop ways of shaping a social transformation. 

This year, from the 1st to the 6th of July, there will be a colorful program focusing on sustainable urban development and addressing topics such as housing, mobility, waste, and resources. The different activities will also deal with the increasing urgency of climate protection and visions of the future and possibilities for action. 

The organization of the University Days of Sustainability varies every year and is composed of members of different university initiatives. This year, the Freiburg Sustainability Office, Weitblick , campusgrün and the environmental working group of the AStA are participating.
