UNESCO Tool for planning financial resources in Education
UNESCO has developed the Simulation for Education Planning and Financing tool to help countries make smarter decisions about improving their education systems. Created by UNESCO’s International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP), the tool allows governments to test different funding and policy scenarios and predict their effects on access, quality, and equity in education. By analysing areas such as teacher recruitment, infrastructure, and student enrolment, policymakers can better allocate limited resources and plan for future educational needs. The tool is particularly useful for low- and middle-income countries facing financial pressures and growing student populations. Through evidence-based planning, it supports progress toward SDG 4: Quality Education for all.
