University For Refugees - Education Without Boundaries

In 2015, UNINETTUNO launched the project “University for Refugees – Education without Boundaries” for the enrollment of refugees and asylum seekers to the online BA courses of the Università Telematica Internazionale UNINETTUNO. The project also allows the recognition of academic qualifications, previously acquired in their countries of origin, the recognition of their professional competences in order to facilitate their integration and the access to the University, master's and vocational training courses in the host country. 50 scholarships for the full coverage of the universities fees was delivered to the first 50 applicants.

The project is giving refugees and migrants the tools to successfully integrate in the host society through:

• Recognizing of academic qualifications and university credits obtained in the home countries;
• Recognizing vocational and professional skills;
• Facilitating to the access to educational institutions, schools  and universities of the host countries, then to the labour market.
