Environment for Development Policy Day 2024

The 18th Annual Meeting for EfD will take place in Nairobi, Kenya on October 3-6, 2024, and a Policy Day will be held on October 2. 

The Environment for Development (EfD), established in 2007, is a global network of environmental economics research centers. EfD centers are hosted by academic research institutions at 12 locations across the Global South and coordinated by the EfD Global Hub hosted at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.

The Policy Day will feature prominent keynote speakers, including the University of Nairobi's Director of Research and Extension Professor Justus Munyoki, a panel discussion, and interactive group discussions allowing different stakeholders to discuss challenges and exchange knowledge and experiences.

The Policy Day this year will feature three themes.

Theme 1: Energy Access and Equity

Theme 2: Sustainable and Inclusive Transport

Theme 3: Energy Efficiency in the Industrial Sector
