Green Office at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences

The Green Office (GO) at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences serves as the university’s central hub for sustainability, connecting students, faculty, staff, and external partners to foster collaboration on sustainability initiatives. Its mission is to promote sustainable development across all university areas - teaching, research, and operations - and to embed it structurally within the university

Among its ongoing initiatives, the Climate Fresk Workshops stand out as an interactive learning experience that deepens understanding of climate change. Conducted in collaboration with the HONEDA network (Universities for Sustainable Development in Darmstadt), the workshops use materials based on the latest IPCC report to help participants explore the causes and effects of climate change through a hands-on, puzzle-based format. Open to all university members and adaptable for classroom use, this initiative reflects Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences commitment to inclusive, action-oriented sustainability education.
