Quality Labels for Sustainable University Buildings
Leiden University aims to greatly reduce CO2 emissions and energy consumption, and to achieve fossil-free construction and renovation. This means they need to use space and energy even more efficiently, and transition from green energy to more self-generated electricity. Given that raw materials are finite and the cost of building materials is constantly rising, their goal is circular renovation and management of their buildings. Making their campuses greener improves the environment, maintains productivity and also helps to save energy.
