STI Forum

The 11th UN Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the SDGs (STI Forum) - taking place 6–7 May 2026 at UN Headquarters in New York - is seeking breakthrough, scalable innovations that address key challenges in low-resource settings. The 2026 Call emphasizes contributions from young innovators, women, Indigenous innovators, and other underrepresented groups. Aligned with the Forum’s theme “Transformative, equitable and coordinated science, technology and innovation for the 2030 Agenda” the Call invites solutions that advance:

  • SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation

  • SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy

  • SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure

  • SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities

  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

Selected innovations may be featured at the STI Forum, with possible in-person participation and access to a virtual capacity-building program on impact communication, commercialization, and implementation. Global South applicants are especially encouraged.

Application deadline: 18 January 2026
