2024 UNESCO Forum on higher education in Africa: A driver for sustainable development
The Forum, to be held in Nairobi, Kenya, will bring together HEIs, young people, skills providers and partners to reflect on, and celebrate, how Africa's higher education research, innovation and tertiary skills eco-systems are contributing solutions for local, national and regional sustainable development challenges - specifically through UNESCO's flagship programme Campus Africa and the UNESCO-China Funds in Trust project (CFIT III).
The Forum is also organised as a follow up to the 2022 World Higher Education conference (WHEC), is guided by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and looks to support Africa's Agenda 2063.
