Deep Sea Research: Where to?

On 17 December 2024, the University of Bergen (UiB) will be hosting an event showcasing deep-sea research in Bergen and beyond. 

The event will focus on the following subjects:

• Research gaps in deep-sea research
• The role and use of deep-sea research in society
• The role of interdisciplinarity in filling the research gaps and moving forward
• What types of knowledge are included in deep sea research, what is excluded and what are its implications
• What role should deep sea researchers have in decision-making?
