Ocean Futures 2030: the state of our common ocean governance, perspectives across sectors

This special event on ocean governance is co-organized by the University of Bergen and the Embassy of France to Norway. It will take place on 17 September between 18h00-19h30. This event will primarily address the status of two global framework-agreements: the Global Biodiversity Framework (December 2022) and the Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction agreement (June 2023). The challenge at the center of these two agreements is achieving the 30 by 30 goal: to protect 30 percent of the planet's land, inland waters, and marine and coastal areas by 2030.
