The Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU), established in 1707, is one of Europe’s oldest and foremost technical universities. It serves over 17,000 students alongside approximately 3,000 academic and research staff. Sustainability at CTU
Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) embeds sustainability as a core value across its research, teaching, campus operations, and external outreach. The university’s Office of Sustainability, launched in 2024, drives coordination across faculties while promoting resource efficiency, emissions reductions, and inclusive engagement. CTU integrates sustainability into curricula to nurture socially responsible engineers and scientists. Its University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings (UCEEB) underscores research in energy performance, circular construction, indoor environments, and smart systems.
